Camping Hellas is an ideal starting point for exploring the surroundings or for any kind of activity.

Volos city has many interesting sights; the beautiful port and the city centre invite you for a casual walk or shopping, while visits to the Archeological Museum (www.efamagvolos.culture.gr), the Museum of Volos, where you may follow the history of the city (www.vmoc.gr), the Museum of Natural History (www.volosmuseum.gr), the ceramics workshop in Tsalapatas Park (www.piop.gr), the University of Thessaly (www.uth.gr) and the magnificent orthodox churches, are really impressive. Worth visiting is the steam train of Pelion, Moutzouris, (http://www.trainose.gr/en/tourism-culture/train-and-recreation/the-pelion-train/), that starts from Ano Lechonia and travels up the mountain following a unique ride to the picturesque village of Milies. Here you may visit the the rich library of Milies, the church with the marvelous frescos and the house of Anthimos Gazis (www.visit-pilio.gr).

Discover the Centaur Cave Chiron, the famous Creature of Greek Mythology (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chiron) and join botany and apiculture seminars to learn all about Pelion herbs and the production of honey( [email protected] ).

In the mountain villages you may admire the traditional architecture of the area, you may walk on the paved paths and enjoy a drink or a meal on the village square.

To enjoy the majestic beaches of the Aegean Sea ,don’t miss to visit Mylopotamos, Ai-Giannis, Chorefto, Damouchari, Mikro. All of them have crystal clear, blue waters, some with velvet sand and others with white pebbles or sharp rocks. Discover what you like more!

In case you prefer a small cruise in the Pagasitikos Gulf, a small boat organizes day trips from the next village, Kala Nera.

For those who want to combine vacation and adventure, Pelion offers many activities such as hiking through the mountain, canyoning, cycling or scuba diving; if needed under the supervision of experienced instructors and guides.
